OUR GOALS
San Diego Beach Improvement Group (BIG) is dedicated to making life at the beach better, including the South Beach Mission Beach and surrounding areas, through creating and maintaining beach sporting areas, enlisting business and community support.

Goals for 2009 include creating awareness of San Diego Beach Improvement Group specifically with all the town councils, community groups and non profits that have anything to do with the beaches of San Diego. We would like to present San Diego Beach Improvement Group, who we are, how we can be supportive of each community and create opportunities for them to move toward accomplishing projects that are on their master plan or just be supportive of maintenance needs.

Currently we are looking for volunteers who are passionate about the beach and would like to be a liaison in these coastal community groups, go to meetings and report back to us about their goals and projects. For more information, please go to our VOLUNTEER page or CONTACT US.

OUR VISION
Our vision at San Diego BIG is to have beautiful San Diego beaches with small oasis's of great amenities (beautiful bathrooms, drinking fountains, bike racks & showers, great accessible trash & recycling collection areas, and in some areas where there is space something for picnics, BBQs, playgrounds, sports areas & equipment, camping and special events) and integrating natural preserves for the various animals, and natural eco system of the ocean/land transition.

You will be placed on our monthly newsletter list, learn how to be a great beach volleyball player, get pre-registration for our events and receive a number of discount coupons that our sponsors have generously provided to you.
