SUMMER SOCIAL FUNDRAISER - RECAP
Our Summer Social Fundraiser at WaveHouse was a success. With lots of great sponsors, Mike Myrdal and Stepping Feet provided entertainment along with a beach volleyball Queen and King of the Beach exhibition put on by Danny Neiman and sponsored by Wahoo's Fish Tacos. There were lots of great raffle prizes that were distributed throughout the evening and the silent auction items were a hit.

| 8/23/08 | MID-SUMMER BBQ & BON FIR This BBQ & Bon Fire will start at 3:30-4 pm with some friendly games of round-robin volleyball, getting everyone a chance to hang out and enjoy yet another beautiful Southern California day at the beach. We'll BBQ at 6ish and as the sun sets we'll light up the bon fire for some good old fashioned smores and night time fun. If you happen to enjoy playing the guitar, we'd love to hear your tunes. |

SIX-MAN VOLLEYBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS Please join us for our San Diego SIX-MAN BeachFest. Six-on-six volleyball teams, usually in costume, duke it out in divisions that include Men's & Women's Open, A, and Masters, plus Corporate Co-ed. A Bud Light beer garden plus the original Sophie 103.7 music lounge will provide music and concessions. Other sponsors include CBVA, DIG & VBall Magazines, Plastic Clothing, Sports Couch, Wet n Wild, American Laser Centers, Arrowhead Water, Spalding and more. | 12/13/08 | THE POLAR BEAR CLASSIC The Polar Bear Classic is in it's 22nd year and is a great day with family and friends who gather to play some great volleyball on a California December day. The weather doesn't always promise sunshine, but there are always smiling faces. Breakfast is provided with fruit, muffins, drinks and warm coffee and everyone receives a great sweatshirt with their entry fee and donations. George Stephanof, a volleyball legend, gives out his Sportmanship award to the Man and Woman of the Year and talks about how volleyball has grown and changed.
