What’s the best way to spend a beautiful San Diego Saturday in the month of October? Come join us on October 6th, 2012 for the delightful, crazy fun, San Diego Six Man Volleyball Fest at Mariner’s Point in Mission Beach. If you have ever wondered who the best beach volleyball players in San Diego are, this is your chance to find out.
This event is a spectacle and growing fast! If you enjoy beach volleyball or just hot looking people and really fun costumes, this will give you the perfect excuse to hang out on the beach all day and have everything you need available to you. Teams consist of six or more men, women or coed, and several divisions with different talent levels accommodate the needs and skills of any group who wish to play. For those competing, creative and entertaining costumes are encouraged and rewarded. At the awards ceremony the best team’s costumes will be honored right along with the best teams from each division. Last year the costumes ranged from sexy to satirical and everything in between. Teams from outside the area will have the benefit of staying at one of two hotels with easy access to the event site. The Hyatt Regency – Mission Bay, The Bahia and The Dana Inn are walking distance to the courts and offers players and spectators staying here some great amenities for relaxing and enjoying the Mission Bay area.

For those who prefer to watch there will be plenty for you to do as well. Not only will there be plenty of volleyball and crazy costumes to keep you cheering and laughing all day but there will also be a beer garden, thanks to Stone Brewery, and several food vendors as well. Local vendors and sponsor booths will have great goodies and free stuff.

This event is hosted by San Diego Beach Improvement Group (BIG), a non profit dedicated to maintaining improving sports equipment and other amenities at beaches throughout San Diego county.

This event is open to the public. Proceeds of this event go to the beach volleyball & sports equipment at South Mission Beach and other beach projects. Registration is $240 per team of six plus $40 for each additional player. T-shirts are available for $10 during registration and a limited amount will be available for $20 on the day of event. After party is FREE.

*Note: Event directors have discretion to move teams within divisions. You will be contacted if necessary.

PLEASE NOTE: The Bahia and Catamaran Hotels are offering a 15% discount for anyone who is interested in coming to San Diego for this weekend event!!
